Welcome parents & our little learners! As I turn into our parking lot each day, I am often struck by the thought of how lucky and honored I am to serve as the Early Childhood Development administrator. I see our future students come through our doors, learning to separate from their parents and then fall in love with their classroom friends and teachers. I was very fortunate to begin my teaching career at Palm Lane North and then Starlight Park. I have served our Maryvale community at Cartwright for over 15 years and it has been a wonderful experience.

Our Early Childhood Special Education Program has moved in the past years, from being housed at Cartwright Early Childhood Center to Frank Borman School and now at Byron A Barry. Our staff and I are so grateful to have a school to call our own. We serve students 3-5 years of age in morning and afternoon sessions. Last year, I came on board to this amazing program and opened a new program back at Cartwright Early Childhood Center. The program is based out of the Preschool Development Grant, which is childcare licensed, full-day program for students who are 4 years old and are getting ready for Kindergarten. All those who attend, need to meet income eligibility.

I know I can speak for our Preschool staff when I sincerely thank you for choosing Cartwright Early Childhood Programs as the beginning of your child’s educational journey. We provide a developmentally appropriate learning environment where students are held to high expectations, and we seek to build upon the individual learning experiences each one brings.
